Neon and Neutrals

What new trend is popping up this summer? Neon and Neutrals!

Let’s be honest too much neon is not flattering on anyone; you start to get that highlighter look. But pairing one bright neon piece with a soft neutral ensemble is both fun, and stylish. It gives you a great pop of color without looking like a traffic cone. The key is keeping your neon to one piece whether it is a top, a bag or a skirt. If you’re going to wear neon dress keep it short (a neon maxi dress= traffic cone!). Keep the rest of your outfit simple; the focus is the pop of neon.

{Miso crochet crop top, Straw hat, H&M dress, Nordstrom sandals}

TIP: If the neon dress is a little much for you, layer it with a crochet crop top, a neutral crop top or neutral jacket.

  1. I absolutely love the idea of layering with a crochet top. I’m not one for bright colors (more of a neutral, pastel loving girl) but I might be able to branch out if I layer! Thanks for the tip!
