Inspired by…ZARA

Being back at college, where the weather does not resemble anything close to spring weather, I have been filling my down time looking for pieces to build my spring wardrobe. My latest fashion crush is ZARA. I have fallen head cover heels for their spring collection, which consists of clean lines, and simplistic outfits that consist of neutrals with a mix of color (by now you should know of my love for neutrals). But as usual, many of their must have pieces come with a steep price tag. So while I wait to become a millionaire or (even easier) marry rich, I will have to gaze upon ZARA’s pieces from afar. Yet there are many spring style tips that can be taken from ZARA’s spring/summer 2011 collection lookbook.

Tip #1: Add a pop of color in fresh, new way withbrightly colored pants like the ones above from Urban Outfitters, Yoox and Delias. Keep it clean by pairing it with a crisp neutral top like white, cream or nude. Keep your accessories minimal and simplistic.

Tip #2: Cobalt is the “it” color this spring so work it into your wardrobe whenever you can. Whether it is in the form of a purse, a soft top or crisp pants. And don’t be afraid to wear two similar shades. Bring life to your neutral ensemble, such as grey trousers with a white button down, by adding a pair of cobalt heels or cobalt wedge.
Tip #3: Make business a little less stiff and a lot more fun by trying a blazer in a color other then the predictable black, grey or navy. Try livening up your spring wardrobe with a nude blazer or beige blazer. Better yet a hot pink blazer. Don’t be afraid to try new colors like this yellow blazer or
